The Tree Where Man Was Born is a rammed earth sculpture is sited on the southern tip of the Great Rift Valley Tanzania, Africa in collaboration the with the Maasai people on their ancestorial land in the Village of Naitolia. with the blessing of the tribal leaders and addressing the nearby location in Olduvia Gorge where Archeologist Mary Leakey discovered the earliest evidence of humanoid fossils that is referred to as the “the Birthplace of Mankind”. The sculpture is constructed with raw soil from the site in close proximity with a sacred Baobab tree, known to live over a thousand years and believed by many to be “the Tree of Life”.
